Investigation underway into Delhi building collapse linked to alterations at ground-floor meat shop, 11 fatalities reported.

The Delhi Police is currently conducting an investigation into whether modifications made to a ground-floor meat shop may have been the cause of the collapse of a four-storey building in Mustafabad, which tragically led to the loss of 11 lives. The FIR suggests that unauthorized construction activities were carried out at the shop shortly before the building collapse occurred. In addition to this, authorities are also looking into the possibility of seepage as a contributing factor and will be scrutinizing the building’s approvals and compliance with regulations. Meanwhile, families of the victims are left in mourning and are desperately searching through the debris for any belongings that can be salvaged.
