India’s Smart Cities Mission, which is approaching its 10th anniversary, has made significant progress by completing more than 90% of its projects and investing Rs 1.50 lakh crore in 100 cities. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra have emerged as the frontrunners in terms of expenditure, with a strong emphasis on enhancing urban mobility and sanitation facilities. The primary goal of this initiative is to transform cities by upgrading infrastructure and implementing innovative solutions to elevate living standards.
