In a disturbing development, terrorists carried out a heinous attack by firing upon tourists in the picturesque Baisaran Valley area of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, causing injuries to several individuals. The security forces promptly sprung into action to counter the assailants in the secluded region, popularly known as the ‘mini-Switzerland’. The wounded tourists received medical attention at a nearby hospital, and a few were airlifted for further treatment.
