India’s Smart Cities Mission, which is approaching its 10th anniversary, has successfully executed more than 90% of its projects, with an investment of Rs 1.50 lakh crore in 100 cities. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra have emerged as frontrunners in expenditure, particularly emphasizing urban mobility and sanitation. The mission’s primary objective is to revamp cities and enhance quality of life by fostering infrastructure growth and implementing intelligent solutions.
