According to a report by Nikkei Asia news, Chinese companies have been accused of circumventing high US tariffs by deceitfully shipping goods under the guise of South Korean products. The Korea Customs Service disclosed that in the beginning of 2025, exports falsely labeled as South Korean goods amounted to 29.5 billion won, predominantly bound for the United States.
