The Telangana Legislative Council election for the Hyderabad Local Authorities’ constituency recorded a high turnout of 79%, with 88 out of 112 voters casting their votes. The main contenders in the election were BJP’s N Goutham Rao and AIMIM’s Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi. Interestingly, Congress and BRS decided not to field any candidates in the election. BRS even instructed its members to boycott the polling process. On the other hand, Congress extended its support to AIMIM in an effort to thwart BJP’s chances of winning. The election saw active participation from voters, reflecting the significance of the political dynamics in the region.
