“India witnesses surge in online shopping during festive season, boosting e-commerce sales”

The Indian government has recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to the latest protocols, all passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival in India, passengers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo testing. Travelers from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East will also have to undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days, even if they test negative. Furthermore, passengers from Brazil and South Africa will be tested upon arrival and will have to undergo a 7-day institutional quarantine, followed by 7 days of home quarantine. These new guidelines come in the wake of the emergence of new variants of the coronavirus in various countries. The Indian government is taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of these new strains within the country.
