Crypto Firms Launch Wall Street-Style Funds, Blurring Finance Lines: Synergy Grows as Investor Sentiment Improves

Cryptocurrency firms and centralized exchanges in India are launching more traditional investment offerings, bridging the gap between traditional financial and digital assets. Investors are increasingly seeking flexible product offerings under one platform, blurring the line between traditional finance (TradFi) and the cryptocurrency space. This convergence signals a growing synergy between the two financial paradigms, as highlighted by Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, the world’s sixth-largest crypto exchange. In the wider crypto space, Securitize partnered with Mantle protocol to launch an institutional fund generating yield on a diverse basket of cryptocurrencies, similar to traditional index funds. This development follows a significant recovery in crypto investor sentiment, shifting from “fear” to “neutral” for the first time since January 2025. The positive sentiment was bolstered by US President Donald Trump’s announcement of substantial reductions in import tariffs on Chinese goods. The trend indicates a shift towards Wall Street-style offerings by crypto firms, with increasing integration between traditional finance and the emerging crypto space, according to Chen. The move aims to provide investors with more flexibility and attractive products that straddle both worlds. Meanwhile, Mantra founder and CEO John Patrick Mullin has initiated the process of burning 150 million OM tokens to tighten supply and restore the token’s value. In another development, Symbiotic raised $29 million for a staking-based universal coordination layer, supported by key industry players like Pantera Capital and Coinbase Ventures. The DeFi market overview shows positive trends, with most of the top 100 cryptocurrencies ending the week in the green. The Official Trump (TRUMP) token and Sui (SUI) token were among the top gainers for the week. Stay tuned for more updates on DeFi developments in India and globally.
