In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has called for a special Jammu and Kashmir assembly session on April 28, following advice from the Omar Abdullah-led government. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi recently met with Sinha to discuss the need for decisive action to ensure the attackers are brought to justice. The National Conference had formally requested the special session in light of the recent attack.
