Goa to deport 3 Pakistanis, monitor 17 others on visas; Police step up security and verify migrants.

Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has declared the deportation of three Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas, with a further seventeen individuals on long-term visas set to undergo monitoring. The state police force has been tasked with the identification and removal of any illegal Pakistani residents within the region. To bolster security measures, heightened surveillance has been implemented at key locations such as airports and railway stations. Additionally, authorities are conducting thorough verifications of migrants and tenants to ensure compliance with visa regulations. The Goa police are also conducting inspections of workers employed on trawlers and canoes to prevent any unauthorized individuals from residing or working within the state. With these stringent measures in place, the government aims to maintain the safety and security of the region while upholding the integrity of visa regulations.
