Fourteen Indian fishermen from Rameswaram, who were detained in Sri Lanka, have safely returned to India and arrived in Chennai on Friday night. The Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department extended a warm welcome to the fishermen and organized their transportation back home. The fishermen were apprehended by the Sri Lankan Coast Guard on March 17, and after diplomatic interventions, they have been released and reunited with their families.
