In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for foreign travelers entering the country. The guidelines come as a response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and aim to ensure the safety of both travelers and the general population. According to the new rules, all foreign travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, will have to undergo self-monitoring for 14 days upon arrival in India. Additionally, travelers will need to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. This form will require travelers to provide details of their travel history, health status, and contact information. Foreign travelers will also be required to present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of their departure to India. In the case of travelers coming from countries at risk, a mandatory post-arrival COVID-19 test will be conducted at the airport. These new guidelines are part of the government’s efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of the population. Travelers are advised to stay updated on the latest guidelines and requirements before planning their trip to India.
