In a tragic accident on the Annur–Coimbatore Road in Tamil Nadu, two employees of a copper wire firm, Gnanasekaran and Marisamy, lost their lives when their motorcycle collided head-on with a mini-truck. The incident occurred when Gnanasekaran, in an attempt to overtake a bus, crashed into the mini-truck coming from the opposite direction. The collision led to fatal head injuries for both riders.
