The Indian government has recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a set of protocols to be followed by passengers arriving in India. These guidelines are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of both travelers and the general public. According to the new rules, all travelers must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal www.newdelhiairport.in at least 72 hours before their scheduled travel. Additionally, passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival in India, travelers will have to undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days, either at home or in an institutional facility, depending on their health status and the risk assessment by authorities. Travelers will also have to undergo another RT-PCR test at the airport upon arrival. If the test result is positive, the passenger will be isolated in a designated health care facility. These guidelines are applicable to both Indian and foreign nationals arriving in India. The government has also advised travelers to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices for contact tracing and other COVID-19 related information. These new guidelines come as India continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic and aims to prevent the spread of new variants of the virus. It is important for all travelers to adhere to these guidelines to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
