The Indian government has recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These guidelines are aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of both travelers and the general population. According to the new rules, all travelers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test result on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival in India, travelers must undergo a self-paid confirmatory molecular test at the airport. If the test result is positive, the traveler will be isolated and treated as per the health protocol. It is mandatory for all travelers to submit a declaration with their travel history, including contact with COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days. Moreover, travelers from the UK, Europe, and the Middle East are required to undergo an additional RT-PCR test upon arrival in India. These guidelines are crucial in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of the Indian population. Travelers are advised to stay updated on the latest guidelines and protocols to have a smooth travel experience.
