Pune bus rape accused Dattatraya Gade arrested, say police – Hindustan Times

Pune police have successfully arrested Dattatraya Gade, the accused in the bus rape case, as confirmed by authorities. The arrest comes after a massive manhunt that involved the use of drones, a pack of dogs, and over 100 police officers to track down the suspect hiding in a sugarcane field. The incident took place at the Swargate depot, where the accused allegedly raped a woman inside a bus, leading to a widespread search operation to capture him. Gade was eventually located in Shirur and taken into custody by the police for further investigation into the case.
