A Punjab couple was apprehended for orchestrating a Rs 3,500 crore cloud scam, which involved false promises of cloud space rentals in a multi-level marketing scheme. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) confiscated 26 luxury cars and various assets in connection with the scam. The couple had fled to Nepal but were apprehended upon their return to India. The illicit funds were funneled into shell companies and personal endeavors, leading to a thorough probe into the scam.
