The government of West Bengal, in collaboration with a private company, has reintroduced 20 refurbished “Yellow Heritage Cabs” to uphold Kolkata’s iconic yellow taxi legacy. These eco-conscious cabs, embellished with depictions of the city’s famous landmarks, are now available for booking through the “Yatri Sathi” mobile application. The initiative aims to bring back the charm of the traditional yellow taxis to the streets of Kolkata, with a target of introducing a fleet of 3,000 such taxis within the next two months.
