Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to embark on a crucial visit to the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 4-9. During his time in the UK, Jaishankar will hold discussions with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, participate in meetings with dignitaries, and engage with the vibrant Indian community residing in the region. The primary objective of this visit is to bolster the bilateral ties between India and the UK across various sectors including trade, defense, health, and education within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership. Subsequently, from March 6-7, the minister will travel to Ireland to confer with Foreign Minister Simon Harris, engage with government officials, and interact with the Indian diaspora.
