The Indian government recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India, effective from February 22, 2021. The guidelines require travelers to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, passengers will undergo thermal screening and must comply with all COVID-19 protocols. Travelers from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East will undergo mandatory self-paid confirmatory molecular tests upon arrival. Passengers must also provide contact information and undergo 7 days of home quarantine. Those with negative test results will be exempt from institutional quarantine. However, travelers testing positive will be isolated at designated facilities. These guidelines aim to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of both travelers and the Indian population. It is crucial for international travelers to adhere to these guidelines to facilitate a smooth entry into India. Stay updated with the latest travel advisories and guidelines to avoid any inconvenience during your journey.
