In recent news, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for foreign travelers entering the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has introduced an updated set of rules for international passengers arriving in India. These guidelines are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of all individuals in the country. According to the new regulations, travelers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, travelers will undergo thermal screening and those displaying symptoms will be required to undergo testing at the airport. It is mandatory for all passengers to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices. Furthermore, individuals arriving from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East are advised to undergo a self-paid confirmatory molecular test upon arrival in India. These updated guidelines are in line with the government’s efforts to curb the spread of the virus and protect the health of its citizens and residents. Foreign travelers are urged to comply with these regulations to ensure a smooth and safe entry into the country.
