The Madras High Court has issued a stay on the Enforcement Directorate’s move to attach properties belonging to renowned film director S Shankar, valued at Rs 10.11 crore. The decision comes in the wake of allegations of money laundering relating to a copyright dispute associated with the film ‘Enthiran’. The court found the provisional order unwarranted as there is already an existing stay on the criminal complaint.
