Pakistan is currently facing a grave security crisis as it battles four interconnected militant groups: Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army, Islamic State Khorasan, and the influence of the Afghan Taliban. This has resulted in a sharp increase in terrorism-related deaths and attacks, causing widespread instability and raising serious geopolitical concerns, particularly regarding the safety of Chinese investments in the region. It is imperative for the country to swiftly revise its counterterrorism strategy in order to restore and preserve stability in the region.
