An investigation into a beef smuggling network transporting meat from Delhi to Goa under false documentation has been exposed after over 500kg of decomposing beef was discovered at Margao railway station. The parcels, labeled as chicken, exploited loopholes in the railway’s inspection system, allowing the illegal operation to go unchecked for years. The spoilage of the meat, caused by unusually warm weather, led to the discovery of the smuggling ring. Authorities are now delving deeper into the network to uncover the extent of the illegal activities.
