The no-confidence motion brought by AIADMK against Tamil Nadu assembly speaker M Appavu did not succeed, as 154 members voted against it while only 62 supported it. Chief Minister MK Stalin referred to the motion as a mere political tactic, commending the Speaker for his fair and unbiased conduct. Stalin also commented on the controversy surrounding the rupee symbol in the budget logo, labeling it as an unnecessary problem instigated by individuals with an aversion towards the Tamil language.
