The educational achievement crisis in India cannot be overlooked any longer, according to experts. Recent studies have shown that students in China are significantly ahead, by 4 years, of Indian students in terms of educational attainment. Singaporean students are even further ahead, leading by a full 5 years. Alarming statistics reveal that a staggering 75% of 8th-grade students in the United States are not proficient in math. Ramaswamy, an education analyst, suggests that shutting down the ineffective U.S. Department of Education could be a positive initial move towards addressing the issue. However, the responsibility to rectify this crisis ultimately lies with individual states. The urgency to improve the quality of education in India is now more pressing than ever.
