India’s net direct tax collections have surged by 13.13% to exceed Rs 21.26 lakh crore for the fiscal year, with a significant boost from higher advance tax collections. Corporate tax collections witnessed a 12.54% rise, while non-corporate tax collections, encompassing personal income tax, experienced a substantial 20.47% increase. Moreover, the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) recorded a remarkable almost 56% surge.
