In a recent development in India, the government has announced new guidelines for foreign travelers entering the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a statement outlining the updated protocols that will be in effect starting next month. According to the new rules, all international passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival in India, passengers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo a COVID-19 test at the airport at their own cost. Furthermore, travelers from at-risk countries will have to undergo mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine followed by seven days of home quarantine. These updated guidelines come in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of new variants of the virus. The government aims to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens by implementing these strict measures for international travelers. It is advised that all passengers adhere to these guidelines to facilitate a smooth entry into the country and prevent the spread of the virus. Stay updated with the latest information from official sources to avoid any inconvenience during your travel to India.
