In a significant development, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has declared that staff members of the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) who successfully complete a two-year probation period without any complaints will be granted permanent employment status. This move is expected to provide job security to the employees of the corporation. Furthermore, the Chief Minister has announced plans to recruit an additional 4,000 employees by the year 2027, which will create more job opportunities in the state. As part of efforts to improve the working conditions of the employees, Sawant has also revealed that the service tax on salaries will be eliminated, resulting in an increase in their take-home pay. Additionally, eligible female employees will be entitled to six months of paid maternity leave, a move aimed at supporting and promoting gender equality in the workplace. These initiatives are likely to boost morale among the employees of GHRDC and enhance the overall work environment within the organization. The government’s focus on employee welfare and job creation is expected to have a positive impact on the workforce in Goa, contributing to the state’s economic growth and development.
