In a significant development, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has made an announcement regarding the regularization of Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) staff. Those completing a two-year probation period without any complaints will be granted permanent status. Additionally, the CM revealed plans to recruit an additional 4,000 employees by the year 2027. One of the key highlights of this decision is the abolishment of service tax on salaries, which is expected to result in an increase in take-home pay for the employees. Furthermore, eligible female employees will now be entitled to six months of paid maternity leave, a move aimed at promoting gender equality and supporting working mothers. This decision by the Goa government is indicative of its commitment to providing job security and benefits to its employees, thereby enhancing overall job satisfaction and employee welfare.
