“Hostages freed and militants killed in successful military operation after train hijacking in Pakistan’s Balochistan”

Militants recently seized control of a train in Balochistan, Pakistan, where they held passengers captive for almost 36 hours. Following a well-executed military operation, the hostages were rescued, and more than 30 militants were neutralized. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) took credit for the attack, citing demands for the liberation of political detainees. Tragically, the incident resulted in the deaths of 21 civilian hostages and four military members, while the status of 140 other passengers remains uncertain. The swift and decisive military response underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region.
