“Gold ETF Inflows Down 47.22% in February Despite High Prices, UTI Gold ETF Tops Returns”

Gold Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in India witnessed a significant decline in inflows by 47.22% to Rs 1,979 crore in February, despite soaring gold prices, as investors opted for profit-taking and explored opportunities in the equity market. Nevertheless, the sector still recorded an impressive 99% year-on-year increase in inflows. UTI Gold ETF emerged as the top performer with returns of 3.70%. Gold continues to be a crucial component in portfolio diversification, especially in the current global climate of uncertainty. The Assets Under Management (AUM) for gold ETFs grew by 7% to reach Rs 55,677 crore, showcasing sustained investor interest in this safe-haven asset.
