A significant blaze at the Tamil Nadu Thermal Power Station located in Tuticorin resulted in the closure of three units out of five, impacting a 630 MW power supply. The fire originated in the condenser room and extended to the cable control room before being subdued by a 50-person team following a 12-hour-long operation. Thankfully, there were no casualties reported during the incident.
