In a recent incident in Ahmedabad, an RTO inspector and his aide were apprehended while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000. The accused were identified as RTO inspector Anand Chaudhary and his aide Jignesh Patel. The complaint alleged that the inspector and his aide demanded the bribe to issue necessary documents for a vehicle. The ACB team conducted the operation at the RTO office premises and caught the two accused accepting the bribe from the complainant. The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The ACB officials have initiated further investigations into the matter.
