India has recently implemented anti-dumping duties on five products originating from China, such as vacuum flasks and aluminium foil, in a bid to safeguard domestic industries. The decision, influenced by suggestions from the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), will remain active for a maximum of five years. Furthermore, these duties are not exclusive to Chinese imports but also extend to similar products coming from nations like Japan, Korea, and Malaysia. This move aims to shield Indian businesses from unfair competition and maintain a level playing field in the market.
