The Indian rupee extended its winning streak for the seventh consecutive session, finishing at 85.67 against the US dollar. This surge can be attributed to positive domestic equity trends, foreign capital inflows, and a decline in crude oil prices, all of which have helped the currency recover from its 2025 losses. The rupee saw a significant appreciation of 154 paise, thanks to the support from foreign banks and exporters. In line with the currency’s performance, the BSE Sensex rose by 1.40%, while the Nifty also made significant gains of 1.32%.
