Indian Railways recently unveiled a massive Rs 16.7 lakh crore investment blueprint aimed at overhauling infrastructure by 2031 in India. The plan is centered around the modernization of stations, expansion of freight corridors, and the implementation of high-speed rail projects. A key highlight of this initiative is the growing involvement of the private sector in various railway projects. Notable advancements already underway include the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project and the ongoing development of three major freight corridors across the country. As part of the modernization drive, Indian Railways is set to revamp a total of 508 stations, paving the way for lucrative business prospects within the sector.
