The US embassy has taken action by canceling approximately 2,000 appointments that were made by bots and has suspended the scheduling privileges of the related accounts in a bid to curb fraudulent activities. The crackdown on these unauthorized practices aims to ensure a fair and transparent process for individuals applying for US visas in India.
