The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up to implement stricter rules in its crackdown against “dummy schools” in India. As per the latest development, CBSE is considering amending its examination bylaws to prevent Class XII students with inadequate attendance from appearing in board exams. Students who have been skipping regular classes might be redirected towards the National Institute of Open Schooling exams as an alternative. Furthermore, schools found to be promoting students with poor attendance could potentially face disciplinary measures starting from the academic session of 2025-2026. This move aims to tackle the issue of dummy schools that have been facilitating students with low attendance to appear in board exams, thereby upholding the integrity of the education system in India. Stay tuned for more updates on CBSE’s efforts to ensure fair and transparent examination processes.
