India is on track to significantly increase its solar PV module manufacturing capacity, with a projected rise to 125 GW by 2030 from the current 80 GW. The country also plans to boost its solar cell capacity to 40 GW. Minister Pralhad Joshi emphasized the importance of local manufacturing and government incentives in achieving these targets. India’s ambitious goal is to double its renewable energy capacity by 2030, positioning itself as a key player in sustainable energy on the global stage. As part of this initiative, efforts will be made to expand connectivity to more villages, ensuring a wider reach for clean energy solutions.
