The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has recently announced a significant increase in the auto-settlement of advance claims limit to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 1 lakh, benefiting a massive 7.5 crore members. This decision, which was approved during the 113th Central Board of Trustees (CBT) meeting, aims to enhance the ease of living for EPFO members by streamlining claim settlements. Moreover, EPFO has also revealed plans to facilitate Provident Fund access through UPI and ATM withdrawals by June 2025. This move is expected to further simplify the withdrawal process for members, providing them with more convenient options to access their funds. The increased limit for auto-settlement of advance claims and the upcoming introduction of UPI and ATM withdrawals signify EPFO’s commitment to improving the overall experience for its members. The changes are set to bring about a more efficient and user-friendly system for accessing Provident Fund benefits, ultimately benefiting millions of EPFO members across India.
