Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal recently revealed that a substantial portion of the Rs 10,000 crore second fund of funds for startups will be allocated towards supporting seed funding for smaller players in order to fuel deep-tech innovation in India. The administration of this fund will be overseen by Sidbi, a government financial institution, which has earmarked Rs 2,000 crore for the upcoming year. This strategic move aims to boost the growth of startups in the country, particularly those focusing on cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions. The initiative is expected to provide a much-needed financial boost to budding entrepreneurs and help propel India’s startup ecosystem to new heights.
