Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who had been on a hunger strike for 131 days, has decided to end his fast following an intervention by Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Dallewal has expressed his willingness to engage in further discussions with the Centre on May 4. Stressing the importance of a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP), he highlighted the need for sustained advocacy efforts in this regard. The development comes as a significant step towards resolving the ongoing farmer protests in India.
