IndiGo flight diverts for emergency landing as elderly passenger falls ill and dies, continuing journey post formalities.

An IndiGo Airlines flight traveling from Mumbai to Varanasi was forced to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s Chikalthana Airport due to a medical emergency involving an 89-year-old passenger, Sushila Devi from Mirzapur. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical personnel onboard, Sushila Devi passed away shortly after landing. The necessary protocols were followed, and after completing the required formalities, the flight was able to continue its journey to Varanasi. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of having proper medical facilities and personnel on flights to handle such emergencies effectively.
