Goldman Sachs raises US recession probability to 45% over Trump tariffs, predicts Fed rate cut in June

Goldman Sachs, a leading investment bank, has upped the chances of a US recession to 45% citing worries about President Trump’s tariff plans and their impact on the worldwide economy. JP Morgan and other major financial institutions have followed suit by revising their recession forecasts as well. As a result of these concerns, Goldman Sachs is now predicting that the Federal Reserve will start reducing interest rates as early as June. The escalating trade tensions and uncertainty surrounding global economic growth have prompted these revisions in recession probabilities by key players in the financial industry.
