The Bombay High Court has granted relief to comedian Kunal Kamra in the ongoing joke row, where he made a “traitor” comment about MLA Eknath Shinde. The court issued notices to the Mumbai police and Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel following Kamra’s petition against the FIR filed. A hearing is scheduled for April 16 to address the matter. Kamra’s legal team highlighted the nature of his stand-up act and cited safety concerns, offering cooperation with the investigation through video conference. The court has taken into consideration Kamra’s request for remote participation in the proceedings.
