Maharashtra CM dismisses succession talk, asserts Modi will remain PM in 2029 despite Shiv Sena speculation.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has firmly stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to hold office in 2029, putting an end to the succession rumors sparked by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s recent statements. Raut had implied that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) could be considering a successor for Modi following his meeting with Mohan Bhagwat, insinuating a possible retirement for the Prime Minister due to his age. However, Fadnavis has refuted these claims, stressing that it is premature to discuss succession plans while Modi is still actively leading the country.
