Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have vehemently condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent remarks claiming that the Indian Constitution is “thousands of years old.” The BJP officials emphasized that the Constitution was actually formulated in 1949 and put into effect in 1950, asserting that Gandhi’s comments demonstrate ignorance and disregard for Babasaheb Ambedkar. They went on to criticize the Congress party, suggesting that they were left bewildered and without a response following Gandhi’s statement.
