The Indian government has recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to the latest rules, all passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, passengers will undergo thermal screenings and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo RT-PCR tests at the airport. If the test result is positive, the passenger will be isolated as per the guidelines. In case of a negative result, the traveler must undergo a mandatory 7-day home quarantine. However, if the stay is less than 7 days, home quarantine is not required. These new guidelines are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of both travelers and the general public in India. It is advisable for all international travelers to stay updated on the latest regulations and follow them diligently to avoid any inconvenience during their visit to the country.
