Meghalaya’s Principal Secretary, Syed Md A Razi, was discovered deceased in his hotel room in Uzbekistan, suspected of suffering a cardiac arrest. Razi, an IRTS officer on deputation since 2021, was on a personal trip to Bukhara when the hotel staff found him unresponsive to calls. His wife is en route to Uzbekistan to repatriate his body. The sudden demise of the respected official has left the community in shock.
